OpenOffice.org is a suite of office applications, developed in the framework of this project is compatible with Microsoft Office, which allows you to work with text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics, databases, etc.

It comprises the following components:
• Writer (word processor and editor of the HTML).
• Calc (spreadsheet).
• Draw (graphics editor).
• Impress (Presentation System).
• Base (database)
• Equation Editor.

You can easily upload documents to MS-Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), edit and save them as in the original format or in a format OpenOffice.org. The main limitation is that OpenOffice.org does not execute macros in the documents. But they are saved and you can use them when working with MS-Office.
